A Word of Caution, Long Shadows

Oh, that sun, this time of year, on that morning commute, is pretty low in the sky.

If you travel west in the morning, like I do, then the sun isn't in your eyes, but it still can be a problem because those traveling east have to look at the low sun and they might not be able to see you.

Long Shadows in the morning
Ride On and Carpe Diem, my friends.

  1. Good reminder to all! If you've the sun at your back, even your headlight in highbeam mode is pretty much invisible given the right angle of sight to the rising sun.....be very wary of eastbound traffic....they most likely can't see you.

  2. I experienced the curse of long shadows this afternoon. Riding with the sun in your eyes is no fun even with tinted visor and sunglasses combined. Ride safe!
