My wife had taken the dogs for a walk Saturday evening and got back just in time before another storm hit. Another one of those that seemed to pop up from nowhere in particular.
Jimcpa3485https://www.blogger.com/profile/00031439889267356735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259595163018451877.post-87122786668811906092009-06-19T17:02:01.150-05:002009-06-19T17:02:01.150-05:00nice pics of the weathermakers!nice pics of the weathermakers!redlegsrideshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10927757855921321097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259595163018451877.post-18329609663507533192009-06-19T14:10:20.813-05:002009-06-19T14:10:20.813-05:00cpa3485 Jim:

Last week we were caught in a thunderstorm on our approach into Bend, Oregon. Then when we arrived in town, it appeared that we had just missed the violent Hail Storm with hail the size of golf balls. There was snow and slush everywhere. That's why they call it Whether . . .

bob
bobskoot: wet coast scootinAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258612401956399482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259595163018451877.post-60544363781847411002009-06-19T10:22:11.879-05:002009-06-19T10:22:11.879-05:00Lance,

The lightning pics were borrowed (stolen) from various websites.
I really haven't ridden in a lot of rain myself, but I always carry my rain jacket with me. I would probably pull over and find a place to wait if the rain is real heavy, but otherwise rain hasn't bothered me a lot.
Sometimes get some funny looks from people in cars when it is raining. That makes it sort of fun.cpa3485https://www.blogger.com/profile/00031439889267356735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259595163018451877.post-18310191607125779492009-06-18T20:44:22.855-05:002009-06-18T20:44:22.855-05:00Nice post and pictures Jim. The lightning strikes...Nice post and pictures Jim. The lightning strikes look awesome (not in a teen's vernacular, but in a fearful/amazement sensse). I tend not to ride when the weather is too wet in the Northwest, preferring the better visability and traction of dryer days. For some reason, I feel more secure on my scooter than on my motorcycle when it rains - maybe the more upright position, less weight and more maneuverability are the reasons.Lancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458096347718242672noreply@blogger.com
